The eighth edition of the International Ifrane Festival came to a close on Wednesday after several days of artistic and cultural programming that attracted thousands of visitors from Morocco and abroad. Meknes has officially terminated its contract with City Bus, bringing to an end months of mounting tensions that culminated in a five-week shutdown of the city’s public bus network and left thousands of residents without reliable transportation.

For the fifth consecutive week, Meknes has been facing a severe disruption to its urban transport network, with City Bus services remaining largely suspended and leaving thousands of residents struggling to find alternative means of transportation. The city council is expected to examine the future of its contract with the operator on Monday as frustration among commuters continues to mount.
