While foreign tourists also choose Agadir for their September holidays, Moroccan visitors are drawn to the city and its surrounding areas, including Sidi Ifni, to enjoy a break away from the bustle of major cities such as Rabat, Casablanca and Marrakech.
Agadir is the top destination for Moroccans in September, offering a range of tourism services and accommodation options for families and individuals looking to take a holiday during the month.
According to sources, tourism offers and accommodation prices drop significantly during this period, which comes immediately after July and August, when the cost of renting apartments and staying at some tourist accommodations in the city and surrounding areas, particularly the popular resort of Taghazout, is at its highest.
Dakhla, the second most popular September destination
Over the past four years, Dakhla has emerged as another major tourist destination in Morocco, attracting large numbers of both Moroccan and international visitors.
Like other cities in Morocco’s southern regions, Dakhla offers tourism facilities that attract hundreds of visitors in September, particularly thanks to its mild weather, which appeals to surfing enthusiasts.
With air connections from airports across Morocco, Dakhla has become one of the country’s September destinations. Visitors who have the opportunity to travel there can explore the desert dunes, enjoy the sea and sample some of the finest fish along the coast.
