Authorities in Nador province have officially launched a new public lighting network along the stretch of National Road No. 16 linking Touima and Arekmane. Built with an investment of nearly MAD 19 million, the project covers 17 kilometers with more than 700 LED streetlights and aims to improve road safety while supporting the region’s economic and tourism development.

The city of Nador is preparing to host the fifth edition of “Nador Durable 2026” under the theme “Nador West Med Port Serving Foreign Trade” from July 16 to 19. The annual event is positioned as both an economic forum and a strategic platform to showcase the investment potential of Nador province and Morocco’s Oriental region.

Morocco’s dams continue to maintain a substantial strategic water reserve despite soaring summer temperatures, which have increased evaporation rates and driven up demand for water resources.
