Airport traffic reached 22.28 million passengers in the first seven months of 2026, up 8.77% from the same period last year, ONDA figures show.
International traffic accounted for almost 19.9 million passengers, an 8.82% increase, while domestic routes carried 2.39 million, up 8.36%.
Casablanca remained the country’s busiest airport with 6.95 million passengers through July, narrowly ahead of Marrakech at 6.41 million.
Agadir followed with 2.18 million passengers, while Tangier handled 1.71 million and Rabat 1.45 million.
Europe continued to dominate international traffic, accounting for more than 16 million passengers and posting 9.29% growth from a year earlier.
The fastest growth, however, came from South America, where traffic jumped 34.21% to 62,880 passengers. North American traffic rose 14.54% to 581,297, while African routes grew 13.74% to 1.18 million.
Traffic with Maghreb countries increased 10.06% to 295,188 passengers.
The Middle East and Far East was the only market to decline, falling 4.12% to 1.24 million passengers.
Aircraft movements rose even faster than passenger numbers, climbing 9.82% to 164,164 through July. Casablanca accounted for 55,223 movements, Marrakech 42,028 and Agadir 15,009.
Air freight also maintained double-digit growth, rising 12.61% year-on-year to 66,980.55 tonnes.
July alone brought 3.45 million passengers through the country’s airports.led 3,450,846 passengers.
