In its commercial air traffic statistics for June 2026, ONDA said the total comprised 16,835,752 international passengers, an increase of 8.86%, and 1,995,709 domestic passengers, up 8.6%.
Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca remained the country’s busiest airport, welcoming 5,756,388 passengers, up 10.13% year-on-year. It was followed by Marrakech-Menara Airport with 5,636,776 passengers, Agadir-Al Massira Airport with 1,878,974, Tangier Ibn Battouta Airport with 1,402,756, and Rabat-Salé Airport with 1,217,574.
International air traffic posted positive growth, driven mainly by the strong performance of the European market, which remained the leading source of passengers with more than 14 million travelers, up 9% compared with the same period last year.
Passenger traffic with South America rose by 34.31% to 53,807 passengers.
Traffic with Africa and North America also recorded strong growth, increasing by 15.23% to 971,193 passengers and by 15.46% to 461,695 passengers, respectively. Air traffic with Maghreb countries also increased by 11% to 244,069 passengers.
By contrast, passenger traffic with the Middle East and the Far East declined by 5.66% to 1,044,129 passengers.
ONDA also reported 138,353 aircraft movements by the end of June, representing a 9.65% increase compared with the first half of 2025.
Mohammed V Airport accounted for the largest share of aircraft movements with 45,824, followed by Marrakech-Menara Airport with 36,795 and Agadir-Al Massira Airport with 12,962.
Air freight reached 57,828.11 tonnes during the first six months of the year, marking a 12.3% increase compared with the same period in 2025.
In June 2026 alone, Morocco’s airports welcomed 3,116,576 passengers, up 5.83% year-on-year.
