Redesigned as part of the “Airports 2030” strategy, ONDA’s passenger assistance service now has a new identity, with airport reception and support teams wearing uniforms in the colors of Airports of Morocco.

Rabat-Salé Airport handled nearly 1.45 million passengers in the first seven months of 2026, marking a 16.06% increase from the same period last year, according to the National Airports Office (ONDA).

Casablanca handled nearly 7 million passengers and Marrakech 6.4 million, while traffic with Europe rose 9.3% to more than 16 million.

The capital’s airport handled more than 1.21 million passengers between January and June, while aircraft movements rose over 17%.

Morocco’s airports significantly reduced passenger waiting times at border controls during the first half of 2026, according to Airports of Morocco, as authorities stepped up efforts to streamline passenger processing while accommodating continued growth in air traffic. The improvements were recorded across the country’s main airports, including Casablanca, Marrakech, Tangier, Fez, and Agadir.

The National Airports Office (ONDA) is continuing to roll out the governance framework underpinning its “Airports 2030” strategy. A new director has been appointed to lead Casablanca’s Mohammed V Airport, as Morocco’s busiest airport accelerates its transformation to support rising air traffic and advance the ambitions of the “Airports 2030” roadmap.

Airports of Morocco is streamlining the passenger experience by eliminating the need for printed boarding passes across the Kingdom’s airports. With the introduction of a fully digital boarding pass available on mobile devices, Morocco’s airports are taking another step in their modernization, making the pre-departure process significantly easier for travelers.
