There are almost twice as many people on hand to help passengers find their way through airports this year.
ONDA has increased its reception and assistance staff from 344 in 2025 to 670 in 2026, with the biggest increase coming at Marrakech Menara.
The airport had 68 such agents last year. It now has 255. At Casablanca Mohammed V, the number has risen from 161 to 224.
Passengers will find them in new uniforms carrying the Airports of Morocco colors, part of a new look introduced as ONDA changes its reception and assistance service.
ONDA’s passenger assistance and support teams wear their new “Airports of Morocco” uniforms.
The agents provide information, direct travellers and help manage queues and passenger flows from the airport forecourt through to boarding.
Their numbers were increased in time for Marhaba 2026, the first major test for the new arrangement.
But even as ONDA puts more people on airport floors, it is trying to remove some of the stops passengers make on their way through them.
Pax Check allows a passenger with a digital boarding pass to use its secure QR code at different checkpoints without producing a paper document.
Self-service check-in and automated bag-drop machines have also been introduced, while automated gates have replaced the second entry check at several airports.

There has been some movement in waiting times too.
Average passport control for departing passengers fell to 3.6 minutes in the first half of this year, 24pc lower than a year earlier.
For arrivals, the average was 9.6 minutes, down 22pc.
The changes form part of Airports 2030, under which ONDA is preparing the airport network for growing passenger traffic.
The people in the new uniforms, meanwhile, are being given additional training in customer relations and deployed in greater numbers when airports are busiest.
