Casablanca Mohammed V Airport handled a record 46,439 passengers in a single day during the first weekend of August, the highest among a series of summer traffic peaks recorded across the airport network.
Marrakech-Menara also crossed the 30,000-passenger mark in 24 hours, according to Airports of Morocco (ONDA).
Tangier Ibn Battouta recorded a peak of 13,309 passengers in a day, followed by Agadir Al Massira with 11,973 and Rabat-Salé with 9,226.
Dakhla and Tetouan, meanwhile, recorded the sharpest increases, at 45.2% and 36.14%, respectively.
The summer records come after passenger traffic nationwide reached an all-time high of 36.3 million in 2025, with ONDA saying the latest figures point to continued growth rather than a one-off seasonal surge.
Airports 2030 faces rising traffic
The higher passenger volumes come as ONDA rolls out its Airports 2030 strategy, which includes additional capacity, airport upgrades, greater digitalization of services and changes to passenger flows.
The program is intended to prepare airports for further traffic growth as the network handles increasingly large passenger volumes.
ONDA said managing the summer peaks involved coordination with the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity, DGSN, Customs, the Royal Gendarmerie and Royal Air Maroc.
