Bank Al-Maghrib (BAM) announced on Friday that it had published two new research papers in French and English on its website, under the “Publications and Research” section.
The first paper, titled “Central Bank Digital Currency: Issues and Lessons for Morocco,” examines the main challenges and lessons for the country. The second, “A DSGE Model for a Small Open Economy Incorporating a Central Bank Digital Currency Option,” presents an economic model incorporating the possibility of a central bank digital currency, the central bank said in a statement.
The publications are intended to share the findings of research conducted by BAM researchers with the scientific community and the general public, according to the statement.
Their release is expected to contribute to debate on economic and financial issues and strengthen ties between the central bank and academic and research institutions.
