Simple, the neobank of Attijariwafa bank, has added a new service to its app allowing Moroccan families to manage payments related to their children’s studies abroad.
The service covers tuition fees, living expenses and accommodation. Customers first need to prepare and validate the student’s administrative file at a branch. Once approved, parents can make transfers directly through the app without having to travel to a branch.
Nearly 100,000 Moroccan students are currently studying abroad, leaving their families to deal with administrative procedures that can be complex and time-consuming. The new service comes as international student mobility continues to grow and families seek simpler ways to manage these payments.
Parents can pay tuition fees directly to educational institutions, send living expenses to students in line with foreign exchange regulations and pay rent directly to landlords or through the student.
Already used by several tens of thousands of parents of students studying abroad, the service now offers a more mobile-based experience. Transactions are subject to security and compliance measures to meet regulatory requirements, with processing times of up to 48 hours.
Real-time notifications also allow customers to track their transactions from start to finish, through to the effective receipt of the transfer by the beneficiary.
