Held under the theme “Water, Production, Market,” the professional event will examine the main challenges facing the domestic production chain and explore new prospects to strengthen Morocco’s position among the world’s leading suppliers of high quality avocado products.
Dozens of farmers, exporters and technical researchers are expected to attend, alongside international experts from France, Spain, Brazil, Peru and Mexico. Discussions will focus on the sustainable management of water resources, improving farm yields, developing pollination techniques, adopting innovations to mitigate the effects of climate fluctuations, and identifying market opportunities abroad.

The conference comes at a critical time for the sector. Moroccan exports fell to around 58,000 tons during the 2025-2026 season, compared with more than 141,000 tons the previous season, amid severe heatwaves and adverse weather conditions, as well as logistical challenges that affected supply chains.
On the sidelines of the conference, an advanced training session is also scheduled for October 1 and 2, focusing on “fertigation” techniques for avocado cultivation. The session will allow participants to combine theoretical knowledge with practical applications in precision irrigation and balanced plant nutrition.
