Agadir is set to host the fourth edition of TOC Afrique, an event bringing together three major events in African gastronomy under one roof: the Bocuse d’Or Africa, the African Pastry Cup and La Liste Afrique.
Organized by Rahal Event, a subsidiary of the Rahal Group, under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the event will take place at several iconic venues across the Agadir region. Domaine Limoune will kick things off on September 22 with the La Liste Afrique ceremony, which recognizes the continent’s top restaurants and culinary professionals.
The heart of the competition will then move to the Les Dunes d’Or Convention Center at Taghazout Bay. The African Pastry Cup will be held there on September 23, followed the next day by the Bocuse d’Or Africa, the world-renowned competition created by Lyon chef Paul Bocuse in 1987.

On site, the teams will have five and a half hours to complete their technical challenges under the watchful eye of a demanding professional jury.
Six countries in the running, Morocco on home turf
Six nations will compete for the continental titles. In pastry, Morocco will face Algeria, Egypt, Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire and Mauritius. At the Bocuse d’Or Africa, Tunisia, Egypt, Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire and Mauritius will compete against the Moroccan team.
Morocco, which has held both titles since the 2024 edition held in Marrakech, will defend its crowns with streamlined teams. Abdessamad Dandani will represent Morocco at the Bocuse d’Or Africa, assisted by Ahmed El Hilali as commis and coached by Issam Rhachi, under the leadership of Rachid Maftouh.
In pastry, El Mehdi Benbiga will compete in the chocolate category and Mourad Msour in the sugar category, with the team led by Mohamed El Yazidi.
