The platform presents Taghazout as a Moroccan destination with a distinctive identity, known for surfing, outdoor activities, beach culture and a laid-back lifestyle.

Taghazout’s inclusion in the list reflects the growing visibility of smaller Moroccan destinations among North American travelers, alongside long-established destinations such as Marrakech and Casablanca, as interest in Morocco continues to grow among travelers from the region.

According to FlightHub data, Canadian travelers spend an average of 15 nights in Morocco, highlighting the country’s appeal for relatively long stays rather than short visits.

In a statement to Morocco’s official news agency MAP, FlightHub communications manager Ayoub Hssar said Taghazout reflects the diversity of Morocco’s tourism offering. He noted that smaller destinations with strong identities built around surfing, board sports and beach culture are increasingly attracting North American travelers.

He added that the platform’s data shows travelers from Quebec book stays in Morocco at a significantly higher rate than travelers from the rest of Canada, making the market particularly important for the Moroccan destination.

Direct air connectivity between Montreal and Agadir is helping to strengthen that trend, Hssar said, noting that the Taghazout area has become more accessible to travelers from Quebec, as it is less than an hour from Agadir.

Alongside Taghazout, the list features Seyðisfjörður in Iceland, Sarandë in Albania, Ilha Grande in Brazil, Montreal in Canada, Buenos Aires in Argentina, Hong Kong in China, Tahiti in French Polynesia, Seoul in South Korea and London in the United Kingdom.

According to FlightHub, the 10 destinations represent different travel styles, rhythms and experiences, moving away from traditional tourism rankings.

The FlightHub Unveiled 2026 report is based on search and booking data collected through the platform in Canada and the United States.
