The concert, held at the Open-Air Theatre of the City of Sciences in Tunis, featured performances by Kazo and DJ Salama. The event drew a large crowd, with VIP tickets selling out 17 days prior to the show.

Hours after the incident, Dystinct addressed the situation in an Instagram Story, apologizing to fans and explaining that the evening, which began with a great atmosphere, had escalated into a dangerous situation.

The Moroccan artist, whose hit Yama gained widespread popularity, stated that the incident went beyond a minor disturbance, with reports of innocent people, including women and children, being assaulted.

Dystinct elaborated that the violence rapidly escalated, reaching the area around the stage, with chairs being thrown. This made it unsafe to continue the performance for both the audience and his team.

He stressed that the safety of attendees remains his top priority, expressing solidarity with everyone affected and wishing all present well.

Dystinct also thanked fans who attended in good spirits and expressed hope of returning to Tunisia to perform for them again under better circumstances.

The concert’s premature end sparked widespread reactions on social media, with many users regretting the events and supporting Dystinct’s decision to stop the show to avoid further risk to the audience.
