Canadian pop star Justin Bieber will co-headline the first-ever 2026 FIFA World Cup Halftime Show alongside Madonna, Shakira, and BTS, FIFA and Global Citizen announced on Wednesday. The 11-minute performance will take place on July 19 at New York-New Jersey Stadium before a global television audience.

The show, the first halftime performance in FIFA World Cup final history, is being produced by Global Citizen in partnership with Live Nation and Done + Dusted, with Chris Martin serving as curator. Additional performers include Burna Boy, conductor Gustavo Dudamel and New York’s PS22 Chorus featuring Coldplay.

The halftime show will support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which aims to raise $100 million to expand access to education and football for children worldwide. According to FIFA, the campaign has already raised more than $50 million, while $1 from every ticket sold for the tournament will be donated to the fund.

In a statement, Bieber said he was grateful to take part in the event, adding that the FIFA World Cup “brings the world together in a way nothing else can.”

FIFA President Gianni Infantino said the halftime show supports the organization’s broader goal of expanding access to education and football.

When it comes to what the world needs, there is nothing more important than education. We are proud to have Justin Bieber joining Madonna, Shakira, and BTS to co-headline the FIFA World Cup 2026 Final Halftime Show in support of the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund and our mission to expand access to quality education and football opportunities for children around the world,” he said.
