The final results of Morocco’s September 23, 2026 legislative elections match the provisional figures announced immediately after the vote, the Ministry of the Interior said Friday, September 25, following the completion of the vote-counting process.
The provincial and regional vote-counting commissions, chaired by judges, completed their work across all prefectures, provinces, prefectures of districts and regions of the Kingdom, according to the ministry. They counted the votes and proclaimed the results of Wednesday’s election for members of the House of Representatives.
The corresponding official records were drawn up, with a copy submitted to the Constitutional Court in accordance with the applicable legislation.
The Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) secured 97 seats, placing it ahead of the National Rally of Independents (RNI), which won 66, and Istiqlal, which took 65.
The Justice and Development Party (PJD) won 54 seats, followed by the Popular Movement with 29 and the Socialist Union of Popular Forces (USFP) with 26.
The Party of Progress and Socialism (PPS) secured 19 seats, while the Constitutional Union won 17. The Democratic and Social Movement and the Left Alliance each took eight seats. The Front of Democratic Forces (FFD) and the Equity Party each won two seats, while the Party of New Democrats and the Party of Unity and Democracy each secured one.
The Ministry of the Interior also recalled the legal avenues available to candidates under the Organic Law governing the House of Representatives.
Under Article 86, any candidate concerned may consult the official records of polling stations, central counting offices and the competent vote-counting commission at the offices of the local administrative authority, prefecture, province, prefecture of districts or the regional wilaya. This right of access is available for eight full days during working hours, starting from the date on which the official records are submitted.
The same Organic Law grants any candidate whose election has been challenged the right to consult the official records of the electoral operations and obtain copies of them at the same location. This right may be exercised within eight working days from the date the appeal is received.
