With campaigning almost done and polling day only hours away, there is one detail voters would do well to sort out before heading for the ballot box on Wednesday: where exactly are they voting?
The Interior Ministry says there are three ways to find out—and the easiest requires little more than an SMS.
Send the number of your electronic national identity card to 2727 and a reply will give you your number on the electoral roll, the commune or district where you are registered, and the number and address of your polling station.
The SMS is free.
For those who would rather check online, the same information is available through the electoral rolls portal. Enter your identity card number and date of birth and the site will return your electoral details and assigned polling station.
Smartphone users have a third option.
The MonBV app requires the same identity card number and date of birth but can also pinpoint the polling station and map out the route to get there.
The three services are being pushed by the Interior Ministry in the final hours before Moroccans vote on Wednesday, Sept 23, to elect a new House of Representatives.
