Hot weather is expected across several regions of Morocco on Saturday.

Hot to locally very hot weather is forecast across several regions of Morocco on Saturday, July 18, including the Oriental region, the Moulouya Valley, Saïss, the plains west of the Atlas Mountains, Souss, Chiadma, the southeast, and the interior of the southern provinces, according to the General Directorate of Meteorology.

Low clouds accompanied by patches of fog or light drizzle are expected along the Atlantic coast during the morning and overnight, while locally unstable clouds may develop over the High and Middle Atlas Mountains and their western slopes.

Moderate to fairly strong winds are forecast in the Atlas Mountains, the Oriental region, the central plains and coast, and the southern provinces, with localized blowing dust.

Minimum temperatures will range from 25°C to 32°C in the Oriental region, the Moulouya Valley, the Mediterranean coast, the southeast, Souss, and the interior of the southern provinces. Lows of 12°C to 18°C are expected in the Atlas Mountains, while the rest of the country will see temperatures between 19°C and 24°C.

Daytime temperatures are expected to remain largely unchanged.

At sea, conditions will be calm to slightly rough in the Mediterranean and the Strait of Gibraltar, slightly rough north of Safi, and slightly rough to rough along the rest of the Atlantic coast.
