The digital library has been built on the site of the former bus station at the entrance to El Kamra, one of the boundaries of the Yacoub El Mansour working-class district.
The online library will also offer videos, music and games.
It will also serve as a “database” for documentaries and as a file-storage facility for users.
City authorities have landscaped a large green space around the site to make access to the cultural facility more pleasant.
