Badr Hari was arrested on Tuesday, September 1, in Amsterdam’s Buitenveldert district on suspicion of making threats and insults, his lawyer confirmed to Dutch media.
The 41-year-old Moroccan kickboxer was sentenced to community service last year for assaulting his former wife, Daphne Romani, in September 2024 and again in February 2025.
He was also ordered to pay damages and was subject to a restraining order.
In 2012, Hari assaulted businessman Koen Everink during the Sensation White dance event at the Amsterdam ArenA, leaving him with permanent injuries. The appeals court later sentenced Hari to two years in prison, including 10 months suspended.
