Moroccan karateka Chaimae El Hayti won the gold medal in the women’s under-55kg category at the 2026 Mediterranean Games in Taranto on Tuesday.
El Hayti defeated Italy’s Veronica Brenori 3-2 in the final.
Morocco also claimed a bronze medal through Said Oubaya in the under-67kg category, after he beat Montenegro’s Nenad Delovic 4-0.
