The Morocco U17 women’s national team won the bronze medal at the 20th edition of the Taranto 2026 Mediterranean Games in Italy.
Youness Rabie’s side finished third on the podium after beating Slovenia 3-1 on Monday, August 31, at the Franco Fanuzzi Stadium in Brindisi.
The Atlas Lionesses secured the win through goals from Nessma Mouradi in the 15th minute, Anissa Hamdani in the 69th and Laila Boushaba in the 78th.
The medal is Morocco’s second bronze in football at the Taranto 2026 Games, following the men’s U20 team’s bronze medal on Sunday, August 30.
