The 2026-2027 Botola Pro season will officially kick off on Thursday, September 24, one week after the decision to keep the championship at 16 clubs was confirmed. The announcement was made on Friday, August 28, by National Professional Football League (LNFP) president Abdesslam Belkchour during the league’s draw at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Maâmora.
The opening matchday will be played over three days, on September 24, 26 and 27, due to the international break and Morocco’s national team match against Gabon on Friday, September 25, at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium.
With the 2026-2027 schedule now known, the 16 Botola Pro clubs have just under a month to complete their preparations before returning to the pitch.
