The National Professional Football League (LNFP) said Friday, September 25, that sporting results alone do not guarantee promotion to Morocco’s professional first and second divisions, stressing in a statement that clubs must meet all the regulatory, technical, administrative and infrastructure requirements set out in the league’s specifications.
These requirements cover infrastructure and sports facilities, as well as organizational, technical, and administrative conditions established under the regulations governing professional competitions.
The LNFP also noted that a specialized commission is responsible for determining whether the clubs meet all the required criteria and conditions before approving their promotion.
The LNFP called on the affected clubs to ensure they meet all the necessary requirements and comply with the specifications’ provisions to avoid jeopardizing their promotion approval despite achieving the required sporting result.

The league said the measures are intended to ensure the proper running of competitions, prevent imbalances, and uphold the principle of equal opportunities, while ensuring compliance with the standards governing promotion to the professional divisions.
