Nadir leaves Marseille after five years with the French club to join Hamburg, who secured promotion to the Bundesliga last season after spending seven consecutive campaigns in the second division.
The German club confirmed the arrival of the Moroccan midfielder, who completed his medical examination at the Athleticum in Volkspark before meeting HSV officials, including sporting director Kathleen Krüger and football director Claus Costa, and signing a long-term contract. " Nadir will wear the No. 4 shirt at HSV," the club said on its official website.
As for the terms of the deal, Nadir joins Hamburg on a free transfer after the expiration of his contract with Marseille. German media reports indicate that he has signed a contract running until 2029.
Claus Costa welcomed the new signing with enthusiasm.

After developing at Nice before progressing through Marseille’s reserve team, Nadir went on to make 53 appearances for the club’s first team, scoring two goals and providing five assists.
At 22, the midfielder now embarks on a new challenge, hoping to secure more playing time and continue his development in the Bundesliga.
