Portuguese coach José Mourinho said Moroccan international Brahim Diaz is one of the players who impress him whenever he takes to the pitch for Spanish side Real Madrid.
Mourinho praised the Moroccan star following his team’s win over Leipzig (4-1) in matchday 3 of the UEFA Champions League’s league phase.
The coach said Diaz consistently delivers performances that earn his admiration whenever he comes on.
He also stressed that the situation of players who do not start regularly raises questions about merit within the squad.

Mourinho noted that competition for starting places remains fierce at a team featuring several highly talented players, making it difficult to distribute playing time, even among those he values and admires.
