Jannik Sinner has announced his return to the court at the Six Kings Slam in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from December 27 to 30, sharing a post announcing his participation in an Instagram Story on Monday, October 26.
The Italian has not played since winning Wimbledon in July, having been sidelined by a right knee injury. Earlier this month, he announced that he would not compete again in 2026, opting to focus on his recovery and long-term career.
“I need a course of treatment for my knee, which means that the 2026 season is officially over,” Sinner said in a video message at the time. He added that he would “do everything possible to get back 100%.”

The rescheduled Six Kings Slam now offers him an opportunity to return to the court before the end of the year. The exhibition was initially scheduled for October but was moved to late December following security concerns in Saudi Arabia.
Sinner won the first two editions of the event, defeating Carlos Alcaraz in the finals in 2024 and 2025.
The Six Kings Slam will give Sinner a chance to regain some match sharpness ahead of the 2027 season as he continues his recovery. The field also includes Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic, Taylor Fritz and Alex de Minaur.
