Standing in their way, however, are the very team that ended Morocco’s remarkable run in Qatar. The draw has once again paired the Atlas Lions with France, setting the stage for one of the standout fixtures of the tournament.

“We respect France, but we’re focused on ourselves and on the way we want to play,” Ouahbi said, making it clear that Morocco have no intention of abandoning the principles that have carried them through the tournament.
The Morocco coach also dismissed any notion of revenge.

France head coach Didier Deschamps also praised Morocco’s remarkable progress in recent years.
“It will be very different from the match against Paraguay. Morocco have played in an AFCON final since the 2022 World Cup semifinal in Qatar.
