Racing de Santander officially announced the signing of Yassir Zabiri from Stade Rennais F.C. on Wednesday, July 29. The Morocco international joins the Spanish club on loan, aiming to continue his development and gain experience in Spanish football.
Racing Santander confirmed the move with a welcome video shared on its social media channels, introducing the young Moroccan striker to the club’s supporters.
Zabiri joined Rennes during the last transfer window after an outstanding FIFA U-20 World Cup campaign in Chile, where he finished as the tournament’s joint top scorer with five goals for Morocco.
However, the 21-year-old was unable to establish himself in the Rennes first team. Over several months, he made just 42 minutes of competitive appearances for the French club.
