Yassir Zabiri continued his impressive start to the Liga season on Saturday, September 12, scoring twice as Racing de Santander came from behind to beat Deportivo Alavés 2-1 on matchday five.
The Moroccan striker struck in the 38th and 53rd minutes to complete the turnaround and take his league tally to five goals.
Zabiri now sits second in the Liga scoring charts, just one goal behind Brazilian Raphinha of Barcelona.
Racing de Santander are provisionally eighth in the standings with seven points from two wins, one draw and two defeats.
Zabiri had already made his mark on matchday three with a hat-trick against Elche. His five goals in just a few weeks underline his excellent start to the season and his return to the spotlight after an unsuccessful spell at Rennes.
