The agreement was signed on Wednesday, October 21, at the CNDP’s headquarters in Rabat, bringing the institute into the commission’s DATA-TIKA program. The partnership aims to promote responsible digital practices grounded in ethical principles and respect for privacy.
According to a statement from the commission, the agreement was signed by Abdelatif Belmokaddem, president of NIIAT, and Omar Seghrouchni, president of the CNDP.
The two institutions will carry out the pilot phase over the next six months, with the aim of reaching at least 20,000 young people. The initiative is expected to be expanded nationwide following the trial.
NIIAT considers personal data protection a foundation for building trust and a key component of responsible innovation, rather than a constraint. The institute says it is committed to incorporating the “Privacy by Design” principle into its approaches, ensuring that privacy protection is considered from the earliest stages of development.

Through its participation in DATA-TIKA, the institute will work with the commission to promote digital responsibility and citizenship among young learners, educational staff and its partners. The initiative will also contribute to national efforts led by the CNDP to raise awareness of the importance of protecting privacy.
Overseen by the CNDP, DATA-TIKA is a national program that places the protection of Moroccan citizens at the center of the digital ecosystem, in line with Law No. 09.08 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data.
The partnership reflects both institutions’ shared commitment to developing a new generation of technology professionals who make respect for privacy and adherence to ethical principles central to their work.
