Google is offering eligible university students in Morocco and more than 140 other markets one year of its Google AI Plus plan for free, giving students access to additional Gemini features and expanded usage limits.
The offer, announced Aug. 19, includes access to Gemini Omni, twice the usage limits available to non-subscribers and 400 GB of storage across Google’s services. Students can also use new study tools including personalized study notebooks, interactive visualizations and Deep Research through Gemini Live.
To qualify, students must be enrolled at an eligible higher-education institution and verify their student status through Google’s verification process. The offer can be claimed until Dec. 31, 2026.
Morocco is among the markets where Google AI Plus is available, meaning Moroccan students are eligible for the international student offer. Tunisia, however, is among the markets excluded from the promotion.

Google’s student package is separate from its US offer. Eligible US college students receive Google AI Pro for one year, while students in more than 140 markets outside the US receive AI Plus. After the free period, the AI Plus subscription automatically renews at the standard local price unless canceled.
The company is also introducing a dedicated student hub in Gemini, designed to help students organize coursework, create study plans and work through academic material.
For Moroccan university students, the offer puts Google’s paid AI tools within reach without the usual subscription cost — at least for the first year.
