The projects were launched and inaugurated by Fquih Ben Salah Governor Mohamed Karnachi in the presence of elected officials, municipal leaders, representatives of local authorities, decentralized government services, and civil and military officials.
The initiatives form part of ongoing local development programs aimed at improving living conditions across the province’s municipalities.
In the municipality of Dar Oulad Zidouh, authorities launched a MAD 16 million project to build and upgrade nearly 20 kilometers of roads and rural tracks, with the aim of improving connectivity, reducing isolation and supporting the area’s economic and social development.
Two additional projects were launched to build neighborhood football pitches with artificial turf, lighting and supporting facilities at a cost of nearly MAD 2.6 million.
Authorities also launched a MAD 3.2 million project to extend electricity services to several neighborhoods, benefiting around 200 residents. Other projects include upgrading underserved neighborhoods, improving roads, sewerage networks and public squares, as well as delivering a new ambulance to strengthen emergency medical transport services.
The governor also launched new wastewater network projects in the municipalities of Krifat and Oulad Abdellah, along with a project to connect underserved neighborhoods in Souk Sebt to the sewerage network and another to reinforce the electricity network in Oulad Ayad.
The projects aim to improve essential public services while strengthening environmental and public health conditions.
Hanan Abou El Fath, director general of the Beni Mellal-Khenifra Regional Multi-Services Company, said the projects are part of ongoing efforts to expand wastewater and electricity services across the region.
She said the Krifat and Oulad Abdellah projects, backed by an investment of nearly MAD 39.5 million, will deliver around 31 kilometers of wastewater networks and approximately 3,200 individual household connections.
According to Abou El Fath, the projects will improve residents’ living conditions, increase sewerage network coverage, reduce the environmental impact of wastewater, and help protect water resources and soil. Construction is expected to take between eight and 12 months.
A day earlier, on July 28, the governor inaugurated and launched another package of development and social projects in the municipality of Khalfia, backed by a total investment of nearly MAD 8.87 million.
The projects included upgrading the four-kilometer road linking Regional Road 308 to the center of Douar Oulad Najaa, improving road safety, facilitating travel and reducing the area’s isolation.

Authorities also inaugurated a youth and children’s development center and a multifunctional women’s center in Oulad Hassoun under the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH). The facilities aim to expand services for children, young people and women while providing spaces for training, mentoring and skills development.
Speaking to the Moroccan News Agency (MAP), Nabil Bouchou, head of the Social Action Division at the Fquih Ben Salah provincial administration, said the youth development center forms part of the INDH’s youth income improvement and economic inclusion program, as well as its human capital development program for younger generations.
He described the center as a flagship project reflecting King Mohammed VI’s commitment to supporting children and young people.
Developed through a partnership involving several stakeholders, the center includes modern facilities such as computer, robotics and digital technology rooms, as well as spaces dedicated to music, theater, physical expression and language learning, making it a hub for training, mentoring and talent development.
The projects, spanning road infrastructure, basic public services, sports facilities and social development, reflect the ongoing development momentum in Fquih Ben Salah province and authorities’ efforts to implement projects that address residents’ needs, improve the attractiveness of the area and enhance the quality of public services across its municipalities.
