According to a statement from the Ministry Delegate in charge of Relations with Parliament and Government Spokesperson, one of the decrees amends the implementing decree for Law No. 58.23 on the direct social assistance system.
The amendment concerns Decree No. 2.26.434, which supplements Decree No. 2.23.1067 of Dec. 1, 2023, implementing Law No. 58.23. It sets the duration of the exceptional allowance introduced under Article 16 bis of Law No. 41.26, which amended the direct social assistance law, at 12 months, whether received consecutively or non-consecutively.
The Government Council also approved Draft Decree No. 2.26.583, which extends the suspension of import duties on soft wheat and its derivatives.
It also approved Draft Decree No. 2.26.584, which extends the suspension of import duties on live domestic sheep and on meat from cattle, sheep, goats and camels, while revising the import duty applied to offal from those animal species.
