According to a security source, border control officers, assisted by police sniffer dogs, discovered the cocaine hidden inside specially constructed compartments within the metal frame of an international freight truck arriving from a sub-Saharan African country.
A judicial investigation has been launched under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office to determine all the circumstances surrounding the case, identify everyone involved, and trace the network’s links both within Morocco and across regional and international borders.
The operation is part of ongoing efforts by the various security services stationed at the Guerguerat border crossing to combat international trafficking in narcotics and psychotropic substances while tackling all forms of cross-border crime.
