The operator stated that the initiative is intended to “guarantee fairness of access, transparency and consistency of services” through the deployment of new monitoring and control tools. Through this system, BLS International hopes to regain control over an appointment process that has long been disrupted by abusive bookings and the involvement of the so-called semsara (informal intermediaries) by making access to appointments fairer and more secure for applicants.
In practical terms, several mechanisms have been introduced to prevent appointment slots from being monopolized by bots or organized networks. The system relies on “a multi-layered appointment integrity framework” that combines CAPTCHA verification, SMS authentication (OTP) and the detection of suspicious behavior.
The aim is to block automated booking attempts and curb the abuses that fuel the parallel market for appointments. These practices, widely denounced by applicants, often make it difficult to secure a slot without going through paid intermediaries.
In its statement, BLS International also highlighted the use of “real-time monitoring mechanisms” to oversee appointment allocation and “ensure a smoother, more reliable and fairer experience.”
At the same time, the company said it is strengthening operational oversight at its centers, particularly during periods of high demand, in order to ensure “operational continuity, responsiveness and a consistent applicant experience.”
