Built on a 3.2-hectare site, the new Bouskoura Sports Complex is one of the flagship projects inaugurated during the celebrations. The facility features a football stadium built to the standards of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), two mini-football pitches, padel and basketball courts, as well as leisure areas including pétanque courts and a walking track. It also includes changing rooms, landscaped green spaces, parking facilities, a café, a conference hall, and administrative offices, creating a community hub dedicated to sports and social activities.
During the same ceremony, the governor also launched a strategic project to install an intelligent video surveillance system for the Bouskoura Forest. Equipped with advanced technologies, including long-range thermal cameras, the system is designed to detect wildfires at an early stage, improve emergency response times, and help preserve the forest. The initiative comes amid growing concerns over climate change and increasingly frequent heat waves, reflecting efforts to strengthen environmental protection through preventive measures.

Several other development projects were also inaugurated across the province. In Bouskoura, a new municipal market opened in the Izdihar neighborhood. Covering 6,800 square meters, the market houses 161 shops across two floors and includes cold storage facilities, packaging areas, administrative offices, a medical unit, and waste management infrastructure.
In the municipality of Dar Bouazza, four neighborhood sports fields were completed through a partnership with the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports and Casa Event SDL. An additional 10 neighborhood sports fields have also been developed across the municipalities of Bouskoura, Nouaceur, and Dar Bouazza to encourage greater youth participation in sports.
A new 5,035-square-meter public space was also completed in Dar Bouazza, featuring landscaped green areas, children’s playgrounds, pétanque courts, and recreational spaces aimed at improving residents’ quality of life.
The projects, implemented under the supervision of Nouaceur province with the participation of the municipalities concerned and Nouaceur Développement SDL, reflect an integrated approach to territorial development. They align with King Mohammed VI’s vision of expanding neighborhood infrastructure, improving citizens’ quality of life, and promoting balanced and sustainable development.
