Abdelkebir Ouaddar won the King Mohammed VI Grand Prix on Sunday, July 19, securing the title of Morocco’s senior show jumping champion at the 41st edition of Horse Week, held under the High Patronage of King Mohammed VI.
Riding “Chaksara,” Ouaddar completed the first round in 79.85 seconds, receiving 4.26 penalty points, before finishing the second round in 46.15 seconds with four penalty points, enough to secure the overall victory.

Mohamed Azzoum, riding “Siena AEG,” finished second. After recording 8.30 penalty points in the opening round, he completed the second round without faults in 49.69 seconds.
Third place went to Ghali Boukaa aboard “Aike 1348,” who also delivered a faultless second round after incurring penalties in the opening phase.
Speaking after the competition, Ouaddar expressed his delight at claiming his 10th King Mohammed VI Grand Prix title, describing the event as highly competitive due to the participation of experienced riders. He said the victory would motivate him ahead of upcoming international competitions.
The medals were presented by Moulay Abdallah Alaoui, President of the Royal Moroccan Federation of Equestrian Sports.
Around 400 riders from across Morocco competed in this year’s Horse Week across multiple age groups and disciplines. The event featured the Moroccan Show Jumping Championships, dressage competitions, club championships, military championships, pony events, and competitions for amateur and youth riders.
The week concluded on Sunday with its two flagship events: the Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan Prize, serving as the national final for riders under 13, and the King Mohammed VI Grand Prix, the tournament’s premier competition and the senior national championship final.
