Amina Dehhaoui wins silver in taekwondo at Taranto 2026

Moroccan taekwondo athlete Amina Dehhaoui won the silver medal in the women’s under-57kg event on Saturday at the Taranto 2026 Mediterranean Games.

Dehhaoui was eliminated in the second round of the final against experienced Turkish fighter Hatice Kübra İlgün after the referees ruled that she had landed an illegal punch.

The Moroccan reached the semifinals after beating Tunisia’s Chaima Toumi.
