Yassir Zabiri has continued to attract attention in Spain after scoring eight goals in 10 La Liga matches for Racing Santander. According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, the Moroccan striker is now on FC Barcelona’s radar, with the Catalan club closely monitoring his performances.

At just 21, the Moroccan international has made an impressive start to the season with Racing Santander, catching the attention of Barcelona.

According to Fichajes, Deco, the club’s sporting director, has added the young Atlas Lion to his list of potential targets for upcoming transfer windows. Barcelona reportedly value his finishing, potential for improvement and ability to adapt quickly to the demands of La Liga.

Zabiri’s numbers speak for themselves. With eight goals in 10 appearances, he ranks third in the Spanish league’s scoring charts, level with Lamine Yamal and behind Raphinha and Kylian Mbappé.

The former Famalicão player joined Racing Santander on loan from Stade Rennais but did not begin the season as a regular starter. Initially serving as Asier Villalibre’s backup, he gradually earned the trust of coach José Alberto López and has since become one of his team’s main attacking assets.

His latest goal, scored against Espanyol in a 2-1 win, further strengthened his reputation. Zabiri found the net in the 84th minute to secure a valuable victory for Racing Santander.

He had also scored at Spotify Camp Nou despite Racing’s heavy 7-2 defeat to Barcelona. The match was a special occasion for the Moroccan striker, who has never hidden his admiration for the Catalan club and followed its matches as a child.

According to Fichajes, the market value of the striker, who trained at the Mohammed VI Football Academy, is now estimated at around 20 million euros, double the amount Stade Rennais paid to sign him from Famalicão.
