RS Berkane could pull off one of the most unexpected moves of Morocco’s summer transfer window. Cape Verde international goalkeeper Vozinha and national team coach Bubista, two of the key figures behind Cape Verde’s historic run at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, are reportedly close to joining the Orange Boys.

According to Brazilian outlet Globo, RS Berkane is close to reaching an agreement with Cape Verde head coach Bubista following the departure of Tunisian manager Mouine Chaabani. The Moroccan club is then expected to submit an official offer for goalkeeper Vozinha, who has recently been linked with Chilean side Colo-Colo.

The 40-year-old goalkeeper had already been officially announced by the Chilean club, which welcomed him on its official social media accounts. However, his arrival in Santiago has been postponed three times, casting doubt over whether the transfer will ultimately go through.

According to the same source, the delay has worked in RS Berkane’s favor, with the Moroccan club now leading the race to sign the Cape Verdean goalkeeper. Vozinha is reportedly waiting for an official offer from the Orange Boys before making a final decision on his future.

Should Bubista’s arrival and Vozinha’s signing be finalized, RS Berkane would secure two of the key architects of Cape Verde’s memorable 2026 World Cup campaign—the former for his work on the sidelines and the latter for his decisive performances between the posts throughout the Blue Sharks’ tournament run.
