The first matchday of the Botola Pro D1 Inwi has set the tone for what could be an attacking season, with 27 goals scored in the seven matches played so far. Visiting teams accounted for 17 of those goals, compared with 10 for the home sides.

The figures reflect a clear advantage for the visitors, who recorded four away wins compared with two victories for the home teams and one draw, with the matchday still awaiting the clash between AS FAR and Raja Casablanca.

CODM Meknès produced the strongest attacking performance of the opening matchday, returning from El Abdi Stadium in El Jadida with a commanding 6-2 victory over Difaâ El Jadida. The eight-goal encounter was the highest-scoring match of the day, temporarily sending the Ismaili city side to the top of the standings on goal difference.

The advantage enjoyed by visiting teams also extended to Ittihad Tanger, who secured a 3-1 victory away to newly promoted Amal Tiznit.

Wydad Temara produced one of the day’s biggest surprises by beating Wydad Casablanca by the same score at the Mohammed V Sports Complex in Casablanca.

Hassania Agadir completed the series of away victories with an exciting 3-2 win over Kawkab Marrakech. The five-goal encounter allowed the Souss side to collect its first three points of the season.

Union Touarga made the most of home advantage and the support of its fans to win the Rabat derby against FUS Rabat by a 2-1 scoreline, while Maghreb Fès began the defense of its title with a 2-1 victory over Renaissance Zemamra.

The goalless draw between Moghreb Tétouan and Renaissance Berkane was the only exception on a matchday dominated by attacking football, with six of the seven matches producing at least three goals.

Beyond the attacking efficiency, the opening matchday also exposed early defensive problems for several clubs. Difaâ El Jadida conceded six goals, while Wydad Casablanca and Amal Tiznit each conceded three, as did Kawkab Marrakech.

With six wins and one draw, the opening matchday saw six clubs collect three points, with CODM Meknès leading the standings on goal difference. The matchday will conclude with the highly anticipated Clasico between AS FAR and Raja Casablanca.

The goal-filled opening round points to a potentially high-scoring season, while the newly promoted teams have already shown their ability to compete with established top-flight clubs.
