Moroccan international Abdessamad Ezzalzouli has been nominated for the Champions League’s Goal of the Day award for the second matchday, following his strike against FC Porto on Wednesday, October 14.
The Real Betis winger is one of four players in contention after scoring in his team’s 3-2 victory over Porto at La Cartuja Stadium.
Ezzalzouli opened the scoring for the Spanish side with a superbly executed curling shot, netting the first Champions League goal of his career.
The Atlas Lion faces competition from Samu of FC Porto, Gjivai Zechiël of Feyenoord and Désiré Doué of Paris Saint-Germain.
The goal was Ezzalzouli’s third of the season in six appearances across all competitions.
