Manchester City head coach Enzo Maresca spoke on Thursday, August 27, about Ayyoub Bouaddi’s fitness ahead of the club’s trip to Crystal Palace in the second round of the Premier League.
“He is ready. He was working with his former club, so he is fit. We will see how long it takes in terms of adaptation, but for sure, he is ready to go,” Maresca said.
Bouaddi joined Manchester City from Lille during the summer transfer window on a five-year contract. He will wear No. 32 for the English club.
The young Atlas Lion was welcomed by his new teammates before taking part in his first training session with Manchester City.
At 18, Bouaddi has also become the most expensive Moroccan player in history, surpassing Achraf Hakimi, whose move from Inter Milan to Paris Saint-Germain in 2021 was worth €68 million.
