Ayoub El Kaabi has suffered a fractured tibia and could be sidelined for six to seven months following his injury during Olympiacos’ 1-1 draw with Volos on Saturday, a source told Le360 Sport.
The 33-year-old Atlas Lions striker is expected to undergo surgery on Sunday.

El Kaabi started the Greek Super League match against Volos but was injured in an incident involving the opposing goalkeeper.
He received treatment on the pitch before being taken by ambulance to hospital, where medical examinations revealed the tibia fracture, according to the same source.
The source estimates that El Kaabi will need between six and seven months before returning to action.
Such an absence would rule him out of the Atlas Lions’ upcoming fixtures, including the start of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers this month.
