Bayern Munich announced on Wednesday, July 1, the signing of Morocco international Ismael Saibari from PSV Eindhoven. The 25-year-old has signed a contract until June 30, 2031, and will wear the No. 34 shirt for the Bavarian club.
Saibari shared his excitement after completing the move: “As a child, you dream of signing for a club like Bayern Munich. Everyone knows it’s one of the biggest clubs in the world. Bayern compete for the biggest trophies every year, including the Champions League, and I want to win as many titles as possible here. Bayern’s style of play suits me; I can develop my own football here, and I’ll work hard every day to help the team. Coach Vincent Kompany played a key role in my decision, and I’m looking forward to working with him,” he said.
Born in Terrassa, Spain, Saibari joined PSV in 2020. After completing part of his development at the Dutch club, he signed his first professional contract in July 2022.

The transfer fee is reported to be €55 million, a club-record sale for PSV. The Dutch side had signed Saibari from KRC Genk for just €200,000 six years ago.
During his time at PSV, Saibari made 142 appearances, scoring 42 goals and providing 29 assists. He also won eight trophies and established himself as a key figure for the Morocco national team.
After scoring in each of Morocco’s three group-stage matches, becoming the first African player to achieve the feat at a single World Cup, Saibari also converted the decisive penalty that sent the Atlas Lions through to the round of 16 against the Netherlands. He has established himself as one of Morocco’s standout performers at the tournament.
