German club RB Leipzig have reached an agreement with Italian side Roma to sign Moroccan international Neil El Aynaoui on loan, following his recent standout performances.

The deal includes a €4 million loan fee and a clause allowing Leipzig to activate a €25 million purchase option. This option would become mandatory if a set of conditions, agreed upon by both clubs, are met.

The agreement also grants Roma a percentage of the player’s future resale value. This ensures the Italian club receives additional financial benefits if El Aynaoui continues to develop and his market value increases during his time in Germany.

Leipzig secured the deal amidst strong interest from several Premier League clubs, which had been closely monitoring the Moroccan midfielder, especially after his impressive performances for Morocco at the 2026 World Cup.

El Aynaoui’s World Cup displays significantly boosted his transfer market value, as he demonstrated his ability to compete at the highest level of international football, prompting several European clubs to pursue his signature.

The move to Leipzig marks another significant step in El Aynaoui’s career, offering him an opportunity to continue his development at a German club renowned for nurturing young talent and providing a platform to compete at the highest level.
