Ismael Saibari returned to PSV Eindhoven on Sunday, August 23, to receive a final tribute from the club and bid farewell to its supporters. Before kickoff against FC Groningen on Matchday 3 of the Eredivisie, the Morocco international was welcomed onto the pitch and applauded by fans of the club where he had spent the past six years.

This moment came a day after Saibari won his first trophy with Bayern Munich. The German club beat Borussia Dortmund 2-1 on Saturday, August 22, in the Franz-Beckenbauer Super Cup, allowing the Moroccan to lift his first title just weeks after moving to Germany.

Saibari joined PSV Eindhoven from KRC Genk in 2020 and gradually established himself in the first team before becoming an important squad member. He made 142 official appearances for PSV, scoring 42 goals and providing 29 assists.

He leaves Eindhoven with an impressive list of honors, including three Dutch league titles, two domestic cups, and three Super Cups.

Saibari joined Bayern Munich on July 1 for an estimated fee of €55 million, a record sale for PSV. The Morocco international signed a contract with the Bavarian club until June 2031.
