Moroccan right-back Zakaria El Ouahdi appears closer than ever to a move to the Bundesliga. After making several offers, Hamburg have reached an agreement with KRC Genk for the permanent transfer of the Moroccan international.
According to German journalist Florian Plettenberg, Hamburg and KRC Genk have reached an agreement for the transfer of El Ouahdi, who is expected to sign a long-term contract with the German club.
The deal is reportedly worth less than €10 million. The Atlas Lion is expected to undergo a medical, the final step before signing his contract and the official announcement of his move to Hamburg.
The transfer was agreed upon after two previous offers from the German club. Hamburg had been preparing a third proposal in recent days to convince Genk to let the Atlas Lion leave, while the player himself was keen on a move to the Bundesliga.
