The Moroccan Agency for the Development of Investments and Exports (AMDIE), in partnership with the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, is overseeing Morocco’s participation through a national pavilion featuring an institutional delegation and 11 Moroccan video game development studios.

AMDIE said the participation marks a new step in promoting Moroccan expertise in the video game sector internationally. The event gives participating studios an opportunity to raise their profile in one of the world’s leading video game markets while connecting with publishers, investors, studios and other major industry players.

Through its presence at Gamescom, AMDIE also aims to create new business and partnership opportunities for Moroccan companies, support their international expansion and facilitate their integration into global video game value chains.

Gamescom 2026, which runs from Aug. 26 to 30, is thus serving as an international platform for Moroccan talent and companies in the sector to showcase their work and expertise, explore new markets and opportunities, and develop partnerships with international industry players.

Morocco’s participation is part of broader efforts to structure and develop its national video game ecosystem, notably through the Morocco Gaming Expo, which has emerged as a major event for the industry at both the national and regional levels.

The 2026 edition of the expo, held in May, attracted more than 80,000 visitors, with participants from 24 countries, 100 Moroccan exhibitors and 48 international investors, highlighting the sector’s growing potential in Morocco as the global video game industry continues to expand.
